The World Environment Day 2022, is just around the corner, calling for collective, transformative action on a global scale on June 5.
Businesses, individuals, schools, cities and communities in more than 150 countries around the world are taking action to raise awareness of climate and environmental crises and corresponding countermeasures.
This year marks 50 years since the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, widely seen as the first international meeting on the environment, led to the formation of environment ministries and agencies around the world and kickstarted a host of new global agreements on collective environmental protection, paving the way for the 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The World Environment Day 2022 will run under the slogan #OnlyOneEarth and shines a spotlight on climate action, nature action and pollution action while encouraging everyone, everywhere to live sustainably.
To that end, the Nordex Group will participate in the #OnlyOneEarth campaign with a 5-day action week on LinkedIn starting June 6. Each day, we will take on one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ask ourselves how we can positively impact the future of people and planet. We share current Nordex’ sustainability measures and goals and provide simple approaches on how we can protect the climate and environment as private persons in our everyday life.
