Mr. Pankaj is the Chief Sustainability Officer & Head – ESG at Adani Green Energy Ltd., with over 25 years of experience in ESG risk management across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
He has a strong background for integrating ESG in project development, project finance, and equity finance, with expertise in implementing IFC E&S Performance Standards and ESG frameworks.
He is driving ESG agenda through developing ESG Road Map and implementing a robust ESG Risk Management Framework adhering to global guiding principles i.e., IFC E&S Performance Standards, UNGC, UNSDGs, Green Bond Principles, Equator Principles, IBBI Standards, etc.
Mr. Pankaj has successfully managed numerous infrastructure projects and led initiatives for net-zero targets and climate risk assessments. His previous roles include senior ESG positions at IDFC FIRST Bank Ltd./IDFC Ltd., LEA Associates South Asia Pvt. Ltd., and Consulting Engineering Services (India) Pvt. Ltd..
