Current position as Global Sustainable Mining Director for ArcelorMittal R&D, top steel and mining company. Focus on circular economy and industrial symbiosis of iron ore mining.

Experience: +15 years experience in industrial innovation projects about environment and sustainability (circular economy, waste management, water treatment) in steel and mining sectors.

8 years experience as senior researcher in R&D projects.

5 years experience in corporate positions as global projects director.

+9 years experience as visiting and associate Professor in different bachelor and master programs (University of Oviedo, University of La Rioja). 

Different trainings and seminars focused on circular economy and innovation methodologies, with special focus on new business models. 

Educational Background: PhD, thesis on sustainability of waste management in the mining industry (School of Mines, University of Oviedo, Spain). Chemical engineer, specialisation in environmental engineering (University of Oviedo, Spain / Otto-von-Guericke Universität, Germany). Circular Economy Pioneer by Ellen MacArthur Foundation, “From Linear to Circular” training for circular economy professionals.
